Note: In Palestine, BDS Campaign events were launched during Israeli Apartheid Week as the beginning of a month of activities, actions, and events leading up to the Global BDS Day of Action on 30 March 2009. This is why many of the events take place after 9 March, but under the heading of Israeli Apartheid Week.

Israeli Apartheid Week in Tulkarem Launches with the complete boycott of Israeli products launched by the Tulkarem Chamber of Commerce and several local businesses in coordination with the Grassroots Palestinian Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign (Stop the Wall) under the title “Keeping Tulkarem Clean of Israeli Goods.”

Panel discussion
Palestinian companies from Tulkarem district (soft drinks, yogurt, cheese, other food products) will discuss with students the difficulties they face in producing, marketing and exporting their products as a result of the apartheid regime's closure system; and the need to stimulate internal consumption as a tool of economic resistance.

Exhibit of local production will be inaugurated in the college and and students will be able to buy the products with a 9% discount.

March 3
Day 2 of the Exhibit of local production (student discount)
Discussion in the College Cafeteria on the role of students and youth in the BDS campaign and supporting local economy.

March 4
Presentation: "BDS as a weapon against the Occupation and the importance of youth involvement"
Speaker: Representative of the BDS National Committee (BNC)

March 5
Students will go to the shops in Tulkarem and talk with the shop keepers about stocking Palestinian products, de-shelving Israeli products and promoting economic boycott of Israel.
